We will be using this page to provide up-to-date information on Info Sessions and other news/views that might be of interest.

March 17 – We have reached a wide range of individuals with our suggested proposal and have received comments from many.  We are now at the point of developing the formal proposal and are looking to you to help with this process.  If you have expertise in technical, structural, legal, medical, behavioural, and similar, aspects of proposal development, or are just interested in our directions and philosophies, we would like to hear from you.  We are considering having teleconferences from time to time with those of you who are interested to ensure that all pros and cons have been sufficiently scrutinized.  Please let us know if you are interested in what we hope will morph into a “think-tank.”  As indicated below, our non-profit Foundation is in its final stages and we welcome submissions from anyone who would like to become a regular member or member of our Board.

March 16 – We are in the final stages of setting up the non-profit foundation.  We will keep you posted.  Also, we have begun the formal development of the proposal.  Any suggestions are welcomed.

Info sessions are being provided to the public by Northern Health’s Developmental Disabilities Mental Health Team and by the Ministry of Children and Family Development.  PLEASE NOTE:  The topic for the next Info sessions, for sometime late April or early May, will be FASD (from a Hallman perspective) followed by “When Choices Equate to Abuse.”  Possibly in the Fall, we will begin covering some of the Syndromes such as Fragile-X, Down, Praeder-Willi, and others.  Let us know if you have a particular topic you would like us to cover.
